I know the cost of an underquilt is a big setback for cold weather hammock camping, but if you have an extra sleeping bag laying around, try just using it as a base layer inside the hammock and you should probably be very comfortable. Nov 21, 2016 · The Clark NX-270 has under pockets that are accessible from INSIDE the hammock. Meaning on those cold mornings, you don’t have to unzip or get out of your hammock to get your gear. The pockets are well designed and you don’t wake up feeling your hiking boots digging into your back. I just had the Clark underquilt and a wool blanket. Update: About a year after I purchased my NX-270 it developed a frayed seam that starting to separate on the stuff sack. I reached out to Clark and they told me to send it in and they would repair it. I sent my hammock into Clark and they replaced the stuff sack.

Nov 21, 2016 · The Clark NX-270 has under pockets that are accessible from INSIDE the hammock. Meaning on those cold mornings, you don’t have to unzip or get out of your hammock to get your gear. The pockets are well designed and you don’t wake up feeling your hiking boots digging into your back. With the Clark you can orient the hammock in any direction to get the view you want, and then enter/exit from whichever side is most convenient. The Clark has the best visibility on both sides of any hammock I own. Another feature of the Clark hammocks is the big pockets under the hammock, convenient for storing clothes, yet within easy reach.
TTTM credit themselves as the ‘true’ inventors and manufacturers of the hammock tent and that has to mean something. Even though we can’t be sure whether this is true, that could prove that they at least deal in high-quality merchandise. A bit simpler version than the Clark NX-270, but still effective and slightly easier to set up and carry around. I just received mine yesterday and I tried it on my Clark NX-270 retrofitted with whoopee slings and it worked out great! As with any bunched end hammock you will need to have a loop through the bunched end and use a caribener to attach it to the stand. It was very solid so I ordered one for my wife today. We are considering to try hammocks but all of us are newbies with them. The DD jungle hammock is one of our candidates, but there are also the Clark TX 270 (much more expensive) and the HH jungle safari.

All in all I was very happy with another experience in my NX-250 and would not hesitate to buy one again.
